Welcome to summer everyone. Fire up the grills and get the veggie burgers going! Crack some ice cold Cokes and chill out on the porch listening to Void, the Carbonas, and Husker Du! Sweat your ass off in a cramped basement with a crew of stinky freaks. That's what this time of year is all about!
All colored vinyl for both the Jean Mills Society Torch - Start Tomorrow 7" and the Breaks - ...Are Broke 7" is all gone. If you missed out, check your favorite trade list.
We're excited to announce that we will be releasing the debut 7" EP for Winnipeg's Modern Problems who feature Steve from Cows and Beer zine and play great snotty and raw hc/punk rooted in their mid-western forefathers like the Fix and Negative Approach. Winnipeg's scene has been churning out some great hardcore lately with bands like Born Bad, Search and Destroy, and Under Pressure so we're excited to have the opportunity to shine a bit more light on what's coming out of the area. Look for that towards the end of the year.
There's loads of new stuff in the distro. Check it out!

Both the Jean Mills Society Torch and the Breaks 7"s are officially out now and available for order. There are still some copies of each on color, only available from the bands or by mailorder through our webstore. Pick 'em up now!

Whoops. I meant to have that MRR ad come out in March, not the March issue (which comes out in February). My bad. Anyway, the Jean Mills Society Torch 7" and the Breaks 7" won't be ready until the end of February or so. I just got the tests in for both and the JMST sounds great. Unfortunately, the track listing on the Breaks's 7" is incorrect. That may be my fault. I'm not sure yet. If it's my fault, it's staying that way cuz I can't afford to get the plates remade. However, if it's a fault with the mastering, I'll have to wait for new plates and tests to get made which could take a month. We'll see what happens. I'll keep ya posted here. Check back later in the week for pre-order information. In the meantime, check out the distro catalog as I just got the new Civic Progress and Rat Shit 7"s in. Both rip. A lot. OK. That's it for now.

Uhhhh...happy new year! So it's been about six months since our last update. Sorry about that. We weren't asleep or anything, just busy getting the first three Toxic Pop releases out. We've also been working on getting stuff together for the next few Firestarter releases and things are finally under way. Hence, this news update. So here's what's going on...
We currently have two records at the plant. The Jean Mills Society Torch 7" is finally in production. A little (acutally, a lot) later than originally planned but the best things in life are worth waiting for. We're super psyched to finally get this going and can't wait to share it with all of you. You've heard us talking it up for long enough. The wait will soon be over. Hanging out next to the JMST 7" is the Breaks - "...Are Broke" 7". This is the last five songs these guys have recorded and even though the band is dead and gone, we couldn't let these fade off into obscurity because they rip just as hard as the "Get Saved" stuff. We should have test presses on both of these in the near future and then we'll get the pre-ordering going.
After those come out we'll get to work on what at one time was going to be the Paper Dragons 12" but instead will now be a CD. Sadly, Paper Dragons called it quits recently so there will be no shows to pick the album up at or sing and dance along to, but we think the songs are so damn good there's no way we were going to let them never see the light of day. The CD is ten songs of super fun and catchy hardcore punk along the lines of old Lemonheads meets Circle Jerks meets Jawbreaker...or something like that. It's really good stuff.
Also coming out around the same time as the Paper Dragons CD will be the debut single for Run Down who feature Joe Sulier from the Breaks and Critical Colin from Formaldehyde Junkies doing some dark punk along the lines of the Damned meets the Observers.
You can check out brand new mp3s from all of these releases (well, the JMST one has been up there for a while) in the MEDIA section of the site. Actually, the Run Down song will not be on the single but is exclusive to the website. The 7" songs are even better!
As always, the webstore is constantly being stocked and restocked with great records and CDs so be sure to check it out frequently. Check back here as well as we'll be posting updates on the upcoming pre-orders. Until then, take care.
